The Art of Resistance.

our life is paint, we the atrist,Earth the canvass, painting thoughts, coloured dreams, goals and visions for a better day. Allowing the light to enlighten and highlight gifts we possess. There will be greater and lesser artists, this is a given, concern yourself not, for this is not the intent of cosmic forces guiding you through your sojourn. Be one with the flow, do not resist the natural flow of things meant too be. You are no lesser or greater then the ladybug who clings to the willow leaf floating down river, ever waiting to seize the moment to disembark this lifeboat, to continue on with its goals as was scripted for it thousands of years before hand, no lesser then the stars of which it is made from...indeed, heed the lessons of the humble ladybug, and rejoice in the timing of that leaf. We are in a period of maniac painters of black and purple, intent on satisfying their greed and lust for wealth, control, and phallic power. Their art concerns destrution, death, and evil. They are the forces of opposites, bringing not harmony and peace. For hate is the aroma of evil...Shades of Aushwitz can be made out of the blur, frenzied eyes of children scream from the canvass, as the smoke reaches the edge of night. It is this art that is preferred by the global royalty, for they have not changed over the centuries. Lunatic obessions of the preverse passed down through the lines rule the day, children of the monsanto corn field. Continue to develop your gifts of art, experience colours and strokes, be authentic, as a flower paying homage to the morning sun's warmth, as gentle as lover's lips first kiss, a baby's smile. The universe will do the rest...art,a site of passive resistance. We await your truth, but always my friend, be authentic and in the moment.

The Poets Code

Warrior poetry realigns war torn souls
As I descend deeper into my universe
solar eclipse blinds my third eye
sinking deeper into the depths of dream weavers
taking forgotten childhood memories
blending others of different colors,
shapes, sizes, some painful, lustful,
everyone real in one lifetime or another
I watch my beating heart
and wonder how it still functions
after being broken so many times
especially in younger years of lust/love
i'm an incurable romantic
for that i'm eternally grapefruit
savouring eye wincing juices of passion
dripping down the sides of my lover's mouth
here i make camp for the night
watching diamond like stars sparkling
and shimmering through the lonely night
tantalizing dreams heat up my soul
allowing needed sleep and visions
to re-energize my Highland spirit
and tend to soul wounds received
from battles fought in the name of justice
and witnessing inhuman acts of cruelty
to marginalized comrades made homeless
through no fault of their own
retreat within your universe when ever cornored
for pinstriped suits take no prisoners
in the spirit world of your mind
you will find refuge and comfort
here you will transcend the thin veil
becoming enlightened beyond understanding
follow the marks in the sand
left by good poets
and you will find your way home
back to your existance
where you start over again and again...
under a new identity
as innocent as a new born babe
rocked gently into slumber by covert lyrics
of mystical poets encoding the way back home again.

Room To Rant

A month ago grandmothers around the world met at a certain time and place in their home towns, cities, and countries, to observe a few minutes of silence for world peace. On the same evening I read about this act of radicalism, I saw VP Dick Cheney on a battleship in the middle-east threatening to do to Iran what they did to Iraq. These men-of-war, ex-ceo's of destruction, just don;t get it, because they don't have too. Corporations have grown to powerfull, they are beyond control, they are off their leashes and attacking people in a very bad way. I say wherever a group of grandmothers gather then there is hope. They are the givers of life and the likes of Bush, Blair, Harper, and Cheney, are the taker's of life. Legitimate psycho-paths in suits intent on doing whatever is necessary to protect their bottom lines, they are bottom feeders of the worst kind. I say grandmothers should rule the world! The smell of baked goods and peace would fill the air instead of pollution and the smell coming from the...ovens!! Grandmothers and ovens are a good thing, but, idealistic fascists in government and ovens...have never been a good thing...more like HELL on Earth. Where will the homeless go? The poor? The disabled? The mentally challenged? Where will these global citizens go I wonder. For in actuallity there is no place for them to go...they have been made the post modern Jews of Europe/Earth. Look at the growth of homelessness on the planet and the acceptablitity of this tragic injustice by those who seem content on looking the otherway. Genocide committed daily and the Untied nations say or do little to nothing...Darfur, Rawanda, Congo, and other places on this small planet are in great need of our assistance...actually our planet is in great need of our assistance. Soon the clearances will be started, unlike the Highland Clearances of old, as bad as it was, at least they had somewhere to go, unlike the reality of today. Sub-alteren voices are never heard. As brother Gramsic says: Hegemony is the metal links on the oppressor's armour that protects their black hearts. He calls for organic intellectuals to come down from academia and spread the knowledge/antidote to the marginalized in the trenches of humanity to unite as one for the common causes of righteousness and our once great planet earth, united in the causes that we can turn this around and that constitutions are for people and not corporations. The aushwitz mentality exists the world over and everywhere pockets of aushwitz are claiming innocent lives. The internet is an organic tool/weapon to unite with like minded organizations to stop the clinking sounds of the global royalty's jewels. Take a critical look around you brothers and sisters and tell me we're not on the eve of destruction. Greedy people only prevail when good people do/say nothing. Become actualized today because tomorrow needs you now! It feels good to fight back. Poet 911.

So This Is Christmas?

Like the title of John Lennon's Christmas song I can't help but think about the suffering of so many children on our planet, especially today. How is one suppose to look the other way, or justify the killing of 35,000 children every day on Earth? That's children dying of war, poverty, starvation, and a lack of simple medicines. Things we in the First world wouldn't let our pets go without. In spite of these facts the fastest growing International business is the "Sex Tourism." Yes, men from around the world travelling to Third world countries to have sex with children. Girls and boys as young as 11 are sold into the sex slave industry because their parents (if they already haven't died from Aids or starvation) are starving. In the midst of this suffering governments allow this to happen. I wonder where our priorities have gone, our sense of moral decency, our sense of outrage, etc.. To allow genocide to be committed in Darfur where women are raped and murdered daily, children are killed/starved, and the United Nations says nothing, but the USA could invade countries to secure oil supplies and other American Emperailist interests without UN support. Another huge profit maker for the USA and other First World countries is the making and sales of weapons. And then a person like John Lennon who openly spoke out against war, poverty, patriarchy, and capitalism was considered a radical. He was a person who believed in the altruistic meanings of Peace & Love to the point where it cost him his life. Soon the tinsel, christmas lights, decorations, social consciences, cheer, will be put away again for yet another year. Unfortunately homelessness, war, dying children, global warming, will continue to be a reality. In Lennon's song "War is Over If you want it to be" So this is Christmas...In order to put an end to injustices one has to be prepared to stand up for justice...is that you brothers & sisters...what role will you play in all this when it unfolds? But first, the blinders must fall. Peace & Love.

The game Plan

Constant surveillance
watching eyes in the (dis)skies
high tech satellites
freedom by stealth
Foucault warnings
fall on deaf ears
seeing is (dis)believing
monitoring emotions
not to cause commotions
rock not that gentle boat
skim the water
rowing in perfect unison
the battle is won that way
look after number one
be warned...you must conform!
learn the lessons well
keep your head down
and look the other way
find comfort in the status quo
a meager pension awaits you
follow the rules and question not
kindergarden comrades
later become old folks
whiling away the hours
wondering where time has gone
one-day we were finger painting
with joy in our hearts
and then it was over
now we are here
so much living missed in between
i was going to be a poet, a lover, a world traveler
but instead conformed
to covert messages
and i'm reminded of what I gave away
every single day
the watchers smile and wave
from satellities and illusionary castles
a million miles away.

Give Peace A Chance

December 8th is fast approaching, the day the music died. The assassination of John Lennon by the CIA. The price one pays for speaking out against corrupt governments, or at least players who tried to kidnap democracy. The US of A assassinate someone, no way you say. How about JFK, Martin Luther King jr, Bobbi Kennedy, John Lennon, John Kennedy jr, Lady Diane, and countless other innocent people assassinated by the CIA or at least supported by that organization. Its well documented, but hard to believe, right (wing), not...Just recently the senate passed a motion to not allow the CIA to kill foriegn political leaders...darn...that's no fun. The USA has supported numerous dictators who executed hundreds of thousands of farmers, union organizers, Indigenous people, etc... Saharto of Indonesia for example, as Clinton said: He's our kind of guy. What about Iraq, South America, Congo, Haita, Africa, Darfur, etc...Two must see movies, actually four if you include Michael Mooer's next film and Al Gore's movie concerning the destruction of our planet, plus the coming film: The US Vs John Lennon. Right now the movie Bobbi is playing. If you love this planet then we all must rise to the occassion where ever and when ever destiny allows it to happen. The Dooms Day clock was close to midnight when we discovered the batteries had died a few invasions ago. The movie Bobbi is trying to evoke life into that spirit of hope, peace, and love of the Sixties. Abby Hoffman, Lennon, Panthers, and the people protesting for peace to stop a government hell bent to escalate WAR, what is it good for! absoutley nothing! say it again you all...Brother John (like so many others) paid the ultimate price for speaking out in the name of peace & love. He could have chose to say nothing and lived to be an old rocker saying nothing and falling out of Coconut Trees. one has to wonder why a known Cuban CIA assassin was the doorman at the Dakota apartments the night poet john lennon was gunned down in front of his wife/soulmate Yoko Ono. And no trial for Chapman. Check out John's website. The message is the same...power to the people...give peace a chance, or maybe give our environment a chance. Lets bring peace to the middle east and the rest of the planet. Spend those trillions on life in inner heart space and not outer space. Peace is there if you want it to be. Who then will be next to pick up the gauntlet of peace, for the price is high, it matters not for a people's movement is mounting against the new global royalty...what other choice is there...really? There's more then meets the Catcher In The Rye...Noam Chomsky has a few answers, check him out. Critical thinking is the light beam from the light house warning us of the rocks lying beneath shallow water, look deep and you will find the hostage...democracy...and deliver it safely to a just and civil world dedicated to peace & love just imagine. All my relations!

High Treeson

All the trees are falling, isn't that suppose to be leaves?? Who knows anymore. Our once great Pine Tree forests, are alas, no more. Global warming in the middle North. Further North of course would be the melting of the polar ice-caps, not to mention the polar bears, but whats a few species between friends, something like death by "freindly fire" the outcome is the same however. No matter what my friends, at the end of the day, the most pressing issue on the planet is not whether a person is gay or straight; rich or poor; Christian or Hindu, NDP or Neo-conservative; its about the destruction of our planet/home/spaceship/ Where pray tell will we all live when this one is destroyed. Whats the point again?? An Elder told me that the bears are confused, they don't hibernate properly, waking up in January, the weather is no good, and we're getting confused too!

Destroying for example Amazay Lake (Little Mother) for some greedy corporation can dig out gold and dump 750 million tons of acidic tailings into this lake, thus destroying every life form that this remote lake supports or has given life too! Why would the CEO in Toronto care about our northern environment. They can after all move on to another part of the world and continue to destroy other life forms and then eventually you and I brothers and sisters. Are we any different from the trout, beavers, water spiders etc...And why do we allow governments to spend trillions of dollars in outer space when the money is needed to repair inner heart space, after all my friends if they develop another planet to rape, burn, and pillage, you and I aren't going to be invited to go. This is our home, the one we know about for sure, lets start protecting it for our children, grandchildren, and on and on it goes. There is no negotiating with Mother Earth. In 1999, Walt Taylor, a social/community/global/ activist from our northern region, wrote a book called: Waging peace for a living, an action plan for survival of life on this planet. It was ahead of its time and as I look around the planet it is prophetic. A good read.

Ken Belford, a local eco-poet, has been writing poetry from his lived experiences of living in harmony with nature on and off the land. He writes about the interconnectness of life forms and the delicate balances that are holding us together in these neo-conservative times where rogue trans-national corporations are growing increasingly greedier and careless about the eco-outcomes of their haste to waste. Ken's poems are a reminder of the beauty of nature, and as I see it, a wake-up call to action! Its up to each and one of us to think global and act local. If you love this planet...start showing it by speaking up/out/, the signs are everywhere.

What has been done to the planet, trees, rain forests, is high treeson and politicians and corporations must be held accountable. This is a big fight, one that should be undertaken in groups, find one and get active, and be sure to read between the lions. Question all things! What about the Kyoto accord (no its not a new Honda) Yes, I say/agree/ its time to wage peace, in the words of brother poet/activist/lover/dreamer/John Lennon..."all's we need is Love, that is all we need." Peace.

Life After The Oral Office

Bill Clinton that Cuban cigar poking, sexaphone playing, good ole' boy has become the poster boy for saving the world. Everyone likes Bill and his sidekick Al Bore. These two guys (should be a woman on this magical mystery tour) are touring the world and talking candy about the growing threat of the environment turning cannibalistic on us, caused of course by greedy rugged individuals that are addicted to greed like a junky to heorin, they cannot be trusted to run this runaway train, of which, we are passengers, white knuckled at that, or you're stoned. This is the deciding century of Earth's existance, or maybe rightfully put: our existance, for the world will go on turning with or without us, totally our decision. Even Oprah or Dr. Phil can't solve this one for you, because we're all needed to do our part. We are the chosen ones to become active, there is no other choice. The world is about to change more drasticly then it already has. There can be no more George Bushes of the world, Stephen harpers, Tony Blairs, or that North Korean guy. The way for this to become a reality is for the formation of a global particapatory citizenship. As a seasoned activist i'm Chomskying at the bit to get started. "If you love this planet?" We're all in this together and as Jim said: "no one gets out alive." On that note what about reincarnation, where do they go? 'gone today here tomorrow.' It has been estimated that the Polar Bear will soon become extinct; all the fish in the world oceans will be gone by 2047, not to mention gorillas, orangatangs, and numerous other species, not to mention...US! The ice caps are melting ( no not the ones at Tim Hortons) Or as president Bush said: We'd better do something about this global warming before it comes to the united states." Holy Katrina, Bat Mam, glad his days are numbered. You can negotiate arms reductions, but there is no negotiations with Mother Earth. People wearing tee-shirts have the right to bear arms! We should all be waging peace in a big way, it is by far the most important issue facing humanity, that and human rights. Lets start in Darfur! Write your political leaders and demand a start there, put the united nations peace keeping troops there and lets start looking after our Mother: Earth. Don't spend trillions in outer space, spend it in inner heart space. Peace & Love you all. Poet 911

Thoughts From the Thought Factory

War On People

Corporate CEO's, generals of commerce
planning new assaults
on the working classes of the world
$1000.00 pin striped suits
their modern day uniform
War a necessity to secure bottom lines
globaliesation...strictly for profit
benefiting the global royalty
at the expense of people's culture
world trade organization...high command
controling life giving resources
to debt ridden countries
"Pay or Die"
war declared on global masses
a well kept secret...they own the presses
protesting citizens are beaten, disappear, murdered
ancient cities laid waste
post modern christian crusades / charades
in oiled soaked sand dooms
life blood of capitalism
for weapons of mass destruction
(the ones we know about for sure)
global royalty united again
sifting through the tailings of time.

Now here's a poem of a local flavour:

A Tale of Two Tailings

Listen to Beaver tails
slapping out warnings
too all its relations
behold pristine Amazay Lake (Little Mother)
in all its remote splendor
ancient traditional lake
life giver of this region
thirst quencher too many:
Bears, Moose, Deer,
all the Creator's creations
life giver to First nations people
play ground of the Otter
workplace of the Beavers
home to the finned friends
eco system most delicate
spawning grounds, nesting refuge,
and so much more...
listen to the sounds of nature
in harmony with the land
bird's singing, insects buzzing, fish splashing
Cotton Tails jumping
wild flowers trying to make scents of it all
this lake has room for the Creator's tailings
not 750 million tons of acidic tailings
as proposed by Kemess Mines
Amazay Lake can meet nature's need
but not corporate greed
put your tailings between your legs
and get away from there.
